6th Kayseri International Film Festival Has Started

 

The 6th Kayseri International Film Festival, which was held between 8-13 May this year,
started with a magnificent opening ceremony held at Forum Kayseri Cinemas.

In the opening speeches of the festival talked by Festival Director Kerim Abanoz,
Festival Advisory Board and President of the National Feature-Film Jury Burçak Evren,
ORAN Development Agency General Secretary Ahmet Emin Kilci, Head of Cinema General
Directorate of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Enver Arslan,
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Çelik and Kayseri Governor Süleyman Kamçı.

They wished success to the festival which take a part in major film festivals in Turkey and which
organizated with students who is graduated or studying in Kayseri.

Within the scope of Sycamore of Cinema Awards, presented by the Kayseri International Film Festival,
experienced actor Menderes Samancılar awarded with Lifetime Honor Award, screenwriter Macit Koper
and film critic Sadi Çilingir awarded with Turkish Cinema Labour Award.

The 6th Kayseri International Film Festival opened with “Never Leave Me” (directed by woman director
Aida Begic from Bosnia-Herzegovina). The festival organized by the Anatolian Filmmakers Association
with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Kayseri Governorship, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality,
Central Anatolia Development Agency, Turkish Airlines and Forum Kayseri.
